Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. Joseph,
On April 22, 2012 our parish celebrated the completion of our new church with a spectacular musical concert followed by a festive parish banquet -- both of which were very well attended. The day was not a fund-raiser, but rather a way to come together as a parish community and thank God for our new House of Worship.
The concert featured Carl and Martie Granieri and their "Hearts Afire" Orchestra. Supporting the orchestra was a choir comprised of scores of voices, including many members of our own parish choir, students from Holy Spirit High School's Choir and numerous members of choirs from neighboring parishes.
After the concert, a Parish Banquet took place at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point, where over 250 parishioners gathered for a terrific meal and plenty of fellowship. Clearly, a good time was had by all. An ad booklet was comprised for the banquet, which featured many local businesses and families from our parish, each of whom contributed to the event's success. Special thanks goes out to First Bank of Sea Isle City for organizing and printing the ad book. Proceeds from the ad book will be contributed to our parish's Capital Campaign and help pay for the construction of our new church.
Many people volunteered their time and worked tirelessly during the past six months to ensure that yesterday's concert and banquet were a success. At the top of that list are Father Joseph Perreault, Vera McQuillen, Kathy Walters, Barbara Marcasciano of First Bank of Sea Isle City, our parish's Greeters Ministry, our parish Choir and many others who are devoted to this church.
